What To Do When You Lose Your ATM Card IOB (Indian Overseas Bank)

My mom just today lost her Indian Overseas Bank ATM card.
She forgot to take it back after withdrawing money from the ATM in the city that day morning.

She realized this only after reaching home that day evening.
Then we were all shocked and scared because we were afraid that she might have forgot to select End Transaction after withdrawing and doing which can easily let others withdraw cash from her account. Another fear was the card can be used anonymously by anyone to make a purchase which would not require the pin number.

We knew we had to block the card.
We logged in to using our 'already given' username and password.
Then we checked the account balance to see if someone had robbed us of our cash.
Thank goodness, the balance remained the same.

Then we tried to suspend the card online by clicking IOB Card tab and then clicking Suspend Card under Debit Card section. After giving all details including the card pin nothing happened.

Music Can Do Anything

Tamil is said to be one of the oldest languages known to man. And so are the songs, poems and stories written in Tamil. Right from around 2000 BC or so till 2011, the music has flavored each and everyone of our lives except for some physically challenged people. Music in any form is delighting and soothing. Might it be Violin, Guitar, Sitar, Veena, Piano, Vocal, Drums etc etc...

I mentioned Tamil here because I wanted to specify the point that music has been living since ages. If it was not worth it, it wouldn't have.

Music has that power to change your mood. To crate an ecstatic feeling in you. To feel all these you must adhere to a right form of music that suits your interests. Believe me, music does really has that power in it..!!

Sometimes when I am off mood and I listen to a really soothing melody, I start to get into the song, mix with it, mingle with it and loose myself in it. It clears your mind off worries and brings you back to a cheerful state.

You might not be a good …

Birth Anniversary of the Legend - KAMAL HAASAN

I am talking about no one but the great Kamal Haasan, The Legend of Indian Cinema.

It was on this day, on 1954, Kamal Haasan was born in a lesser known village named "Paramakudi, Tamil Nadu."

He entered the cinema at this age of 4 and now at the age of 57, he still strives to bring out his master piece.
Kamal Haasan's 50 years completion in Tamil Cinema was recently celebrated and the praises made by artists across the South Indian Cinema was totally mind blowing.

Can a man be so dedicated and committed to his field?

No wonder Kamal sir is my role model not only for his attitude towards his career but also because of his philosophy.

He always wants his fans to think and so are his movies. His knowledge on wide range of subjects made him to be named as a Living Encyclopedia by his co-artistes. He is a method actor and has several other faces in Indian Cinema. He has acted in over 7 languages and has won laurels ranging from 4 National Film Awards and numerous Film Fare Aw…

Disaster Prone Mettupalayam Road

The residents and merchants of Coimbatore are very well aware of the current situation of the Mettupalayam road that stretches from Sai Baba Koil to Periyanayakenpalayam which comes around 20 kilometers.
The road (not actually) just exists for a name sake. The road doesn't solve its purpose.

The road that was laid by the British over 75 years ago was still strong and perfect for a long time. It was laid as a concrete road that stood strong as a rock for years with lovely green trees on either side. It made journey very pleasant for anyone who went to Ooty through that road.

But as the economy boomed and trade developed, the road needed expansion as the former road was just a single track road where one vehicle can go up and an another coming down. The journey which was once happy and joyous now started turning hectic and stressful as the cars had to line up for a long time for the traffic to clear during peak hours and summer holidays when tourists flock to Ooty. That road is a Sta…

Dear friends,

Let us do our bit to help our country.

Please spare a couple of minutes here for the sake of India.

I got this article from one of my friends, but it's true. I can see this in day to day life.

Here's a small example:-

Do you think US Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

More than 30,000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages, etc... which are grown, produced and consumed here.

A cold drink that costs…
